The TIGF commercial offer

Purpose of the storage access contract

The storage access contract exists to establish the terms under which TIGF undertakes to draw off quantities of gas delivered to it by the customer at the storage transport interface point and to return to the customer at a later date, at that same point, quantities of gas equivalent to those previously delivered by the customer.

Term of the storage access contract

The contractual year runs from 1 April to 31 March (one summer injection period, followed by one winter draw-off period). The storage access contract may be entered into, with one month’s prior notice, for periods which must begin on the first day of a given month, and which must of necessity end on 31 March of a given year. Multiple-year contracts are possible. Where a contract is entered into during the course of a year, special provisions shall apply.

ATS Sud-Ouest offers

Access to TIGF’s natural gas storage infrastructures is possible from the southwest balancing area. TIGF offers two types of access to its storage infrastructure, referred to as the dynamic offer, the super dynamic offer and balancing offer. Each of these offers is linked to specific storage units with their own specific features (see features of standard offers).

Subscription principles

Under the storage access contract, the customer subscribes to a whole number of storage units.

A storage unit is defined by:

  • a unit storage capacity (CUS) expressed in kWh;
  • a nominal daily unit draw-off capacity (CJUNS) expressed in kWh/d;
  • a nominal daily unit injection capacity (CJUNI) expressed in kWh/d.

Thus a customer who, under their storage access contract, subscribes to “n” number of storage units, has available:

  • a storage capacity obtained by multiplying their CUS by n;
  • a nominal daily draw-off capacity obtained by multiplying CJUNS by n;
  • a nominal daily injection capacity obtained by multiplying CJUNI by n;

The rights attached to those capacities are defined by contractual rules (view the contractual rules).
