TIGF operates and is developing its Lussagnet and Izaute storage infrastructures, at the crossroads of European gas exchange. The services offered by TIGF are attractive, flexible, and offer maximum availability, enabling customers to meet their end customers’ needs in terms of flexibility of supply, or to seize the opportunities offered by the gas wholesale market.
Adherence to the legislative framework
The second European Directive 2003/55/EC dated 26 June 2003, as amended by the law of 9 August 2004, sets out common rules for the whole internal natural gas market. Article 19 stipulates that storage operators should make their infrastructure available to third parties. Those access terms are set out in Decree 2006-1034 date 21 August 2006, as amended by Decree 2010-129 dated 10 February 2010.
In accordance with its legal obligations, TIGF publishes its access offers in a transparent and non-discriminatory manner. This arrangement is particularly valuable to natural gas suppliers, helping them fully to meet their service continuity obligations imposed by Law 2003-8 dated 3 January 2003.
All of the protocols and contracts are sent on to the DGEC and the CRE, who act as the guardians of transparency and non-discrimination.
