Due to the consultation between ENAGAS and TIGF, shippers will have access to a simplified offer ensuring access to a single interconnection capacity, coordinated between ENAGAS and TIGF. To do this, the two carriers are organising an "Open Subscription Period (OSP)"* during which shippers can submit their subscription application, with capacity being allocated at the end of this period in proportion to the applications received.
The fixed long-term interconnection capacities (expiry date 31 March 2013) proposed during the OSP are:
- in the France-Spain direction 13 GWh/d yearly on 1st April 2009 rising to 22.48 GWh/d yearly on 1st April 2011
- In the Spain-France direction, from 1st November 2010: 30 GWh/d in winter and 50 GWh/d in summer.
Coordination between ENAGAS and TIGF will continue each year with coordinated marketing, in the form of an OSP, of the capacity available in the short term.
TIGF actively cooperates with the Spanish (ENAGAS and Naturgas) and French (GRTgaz) operators, within the working group of the South Regional Initiative of ERGEG (European Regulators' Group for Electricity and Gaz), with a view to developing interconnection capacity between France and Spain.
