European and French legislation

The second European directive 2003/55/EC dated 26 June 2003 concerning the common rules for the internal natural gas market, provides in article 19 for the setting up by storage operators of access by third parties to storage infrastructure.

The law of 9 August 2004 transposing the second European directive requires storage operators to publish the conditions for access to their storage facilities by 31 December 2004.

TIGF has decided  to publish its services of access to storage facilities now, thus anticipating the obligation provided by the law in order to allows natural gas Suppliers to respond better to the obligations of continuity of supply imposed upon them by law 2003-8 of 3 January 2003.

Conditions of access to storage infrastructure

To be a holder of a Storage Access Contract, Suppliers must have a Transport Contract that allows them to take and deliver gas to the Storage Transport Interface Point.
